Breaking free from vicious cycles
You might find yourself caught in repetitive cycles at work, with friends, with family. Every time you might find yourself attacked, burdened, neglected, overlooked, unappreciated or used in difficult situations. When it happens, it leaves you dissatisfied, frustrated, exhausted, lonely, or hurt. Even if you try to do differently, it happens again before you even realize it. Do you ask yourself, how did you end up there time & time again?
Throughout our life we belong to various systems (groups). We are given life in a family – our first and most important group. Later we learn to find our place and build bonds in new systems and groups. These are schools, groups of friends, neighborhoods, clubs and associations. Later we work in organizations and companies. Each system, governed by rules, has a structure of complex connections and dynamics. As we learn to belongs, function and contribute to these systems, they shape and mold our identity and influence our behavior.
Our first and most meaningful system is our family. We grow up there. They nurture us, enable us and limit us. We all leave home and our families of origin behind. However, our earliest essential bonds and what we learned there remain active and strong in us on a visceral level even after we’ve left. It might feel like our home and family dwell inside our psyche, profoundly affecting us.
How exactly can the history and the dynamics of your first family keep you hostage in hidden ways even today? Come to experience and break free from your cycles.
In addition to individual counseling, therapy, coaching, group work, and thematic seminars, I also invite you to experience another method of self-exploration and self-development. I invite you to participate in a systemic constellation.
It is a regularly held workshop for my clients already involved in therapeutic work individually. It offers them a complementary learning space.
