Privacy Policy & Personal Data Protection
SM Training & Counseling keeps, processes and protects your personal data in accordance with the EU regulations (GDPR).
For proper treatment, it is necessary that I, as your treating therapist, create a file. This is also legally established in the Health Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO). Your file contains limited personal data you have provided and notes about your treatment. We ask and use your personal data to facilitate the communication and our collaboration. If for the purposes of your treatment additional personal data is needed this will only be done with your explicit permission.
We do our best to guarantee your privacy. This means, among other things, that we:
– handle your personal and medical data with care,
– ensure that unauthorized persons do not have access to your data.
We have a legal obligation of confidentiality (professional secrecy).
The data from your personal file can also be used for the following purposes, after your explicit written permission:
• To inform other healthcare providers, for example when therapy has been completed or when a referral is made to another practitioner. This only happens with your explicit permission.
• For observation use during my absence.
• or for anonymized use during peer review.
• A small part of the data from your file is used for financial administration, so that I or my administrator can draw up an invoice.
If I want to use your data for another reason, I will first inform you and explicitly ask for your permission. This data in the client file will be kept for 20 years as required by the law on treatment agreements.
Your data on invoice
The care invoice you receive contains the information requested by the health insurer, so that you can declare this invoice to your health insurer:
• your name, address and place of residence
• your date of birth
• the date of the treatment
• a brief description of the treatment
• performance code: 24504 – Psychosocial therapy treatment
• the costs of the consultation
SM Training & Counseling does not sell data
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We only share strictly limited information with parties that are engaged to facilitate and technically support our service. SM Training & Counseling and third parties, who provide technical support, are legally obliged to respect the confidentiality of all data in by agreements in accordance with the EU law.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored locally by a browser. SM Training & Counseling uses cookies to recognize users on their next visit and to provide targeted advertising. The website places functional and marketing cookies from Google (read more here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites), LinkedIn and META (formerly Facebook).
The information that Google, LinkedIN and META collect is anonymized as much as possible. The information is transferred to and stored by META, Google and LinkedIn on servers in the United States. META, Google and LinkedIn adhere to the Privacy Shield principles and are affiliated with the Privacy Shield program of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data. The anonymized data is used, among other things, to show visitors to this website targeted advertisements on various (social) media.
Right to inspect and correct or delete your data
You have the right to request access to and correction or deletion of your data. See our contact page for this. To prevent abuse, we may ask you to identify yourself adequately. When it concerns access to personal data linked to a cookie, you must send a copy of the cookie in question. You can find this in the settings of your browser.
